1. Who we are
Case Diary by Law Tarazoo (“Case Diary”, “we”, “us”) is a subscription software service operated by Law Tarazoo Technologies LLP, a company incorporated in India with its registered office at 14, 3rd Asha Nagar, 1A, Borivli (East), Mumbai - 400066, Maharashtra. You can reach us at casediary@lawtarazoo.com.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account, accessing, or using Case Diary (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of a law firm or organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that entity.
3. The Service
Case Diary is a case-management tool for advocates and law firms in India. It stores case information you provide, and it fetches, refreshes, and stores case metadata and orders sourced from public court records (including but not limited to eCourts, High Court, tribunal and cause-list portals) via third-party data providers.
4. Subscription, 14-day free trial and auto-renewal
- New sign-ups receive a 14-day free trial of the Starter tier. No payment method is required to start the trial.
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in Indian Rupees through our payment processor Cashfree Payments India Pvt. Ltd. (“Cashfree”).
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle using the e-mandate authorised at checkout, until you cancel. You will be charged the then-current price of your plan.
- You will be notified by email before each renewal in line with Cashfree and RBI recurring-payment norms.
- If a renewal charge fails, we will enter a grace period of up to 7 days. During this period, your access is reduced to read-only until payment is completed.
5. Fair use and acceptable use
You agree that you will not:
- use the Service to store data of matters or persons you are not professionally authorised to represent or advise;
- use the Service to send unsolicited communications, spam, or content prohibited under Indian law;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, resell or wholesale-copy the Service;
- use the Service to circumvent court rules or public records access norms; or
- upload malware, or content that infringes third-party rights.
6. Court data and accuracy
Case metadata, orders and cause-list information shown in Case Diary are sourced from public court systems through third-party APIs. We update them on a best-effort basis and do not guarantee that court records are complete, current, or free of errors. You are responsible for independently verifying critical dates from the official record before relying on them.
7. Your content and licence
You retain all rights in the data you upload (case notes, client information, invoices, uploaded files). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process and display that data solely to provide the Service to you, and to create de-identified aggregate statistics that cannot reasonably be linked back to you or your clients.
8. Fees, taxes and invoicing
All fees are stated in Indian Rupees and are exclusive of any applicable taxes. You are responsible for any taxes payable on the subscription in your jurisdiction. Invoices for payments made through the Service are made available in your account.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, if payment remains overdue after the grace period, or if we are required to by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time from More → Plans & Pricing; your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the fees you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, or data.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against claims arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party right (including the rights of any client whose data you upload).
12. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may modify these Terms or the Service from time to time. If a change is material, we will give you reasonable prior notice by email or in-app. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the applicable laws, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction to entertain any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
